KMI brings together the combined strengths of Kier Group PLC, J Murphy and Sons and Interserve Project Services Ltd, working in a formidable partnership to meet the current and future demands of the UK Water Industry. KMI also currently operates alongside Mouchel as KMI Plus providing detailed design and construction services as part of United Utilities £400million AMP4 Capital Programme delivery team. In July 2009 KMI+ successfully secured the next five year contract (AMP5) with United Utilities valued at approximately £400m. The success means KMI+ will continue to work with United Utilities to deliver design, construction and final commissioning services on its investment programme to improve the water and wastewater networks in the north of UU’s operating region until 2015. With over seven years experience in the water and waste water sector KMI can boast completion of over 160 projects with capital values between £0.1million and £35million with one scheme still in construction at £47million. Projects range across the spectrum of water and waste water infrastructure, including new build, asset renewal and refurbishment. Similarly capabilities span all aspects of civil engineering, detailed design and mechanical and electrical installation. KMI, as part of the Integrated Alliance, is a 2009 winner of a Construction News Quality in Construction Award for its environmental work at newly built Hodder Service Reservoir and winner of a Water Industry Achievement Award in the category Partnership Initiative of the Year. |
